The Telephone Numbers

The telephone approach of sharing the Gospel through the Evangelism Response Center includes three different telephone numbers tagged to TV, radio, and print media. These numbers are used for different purposes. The on-going spiritual help line number is 1-888-JESUS 2000. This number simply invites individuals to call to receive information about how to have new life in Jesus Christ. FamilyNet, NAMB’s radio and television network, uses the number 1-800-866-HOPE to offer listeners and viewers the opportunity to contact us for more information about how to begin a personal relationship with Christ. The media response number is 1-800-JESUS-2000 and is used in connection with short-term media campaigns that offer a free video or other product to individuals who call.

How do Telephone Encouragers (TE’s) Log On

Although some very sophisticated technology supports the telephone function of the ERC, the technological knowledge needed to log on to receive ERC call from home is really quite simple. TE’s simply call a toll-free number when they get ready to log on, enter a PIN number and password which is assigned to them, and simply take calls until they are ready to log off. A mandatory two-hour training session is required for all Telephone Encouragers to attend before service in the Evangelism Response Center.
